Creating a PPPoE Connection – Windows 7

Sometimes to test an NBN connection you will need to isolate your network and connect directly to the NBN NTU.  Please note this only applies to the following NBN connection types:

  • Fibre to the Premises (FTTP)
  • Fixed Wireless
  • HFC
  • FTTC
  1. Click the Start button and select Control Panel
  2. Select Network and Sharing Centre
  3. Click Set up a new connection or network
  4. Select Connect to the Internet
  5. Select Broadband (PPPoE)
  6. In the User name field enter your NBN username, e.g. username@internet.url.net.au
  7. In the Password field enter your NBN Password
  8. Click Connect
