Connecting Virtual Mobile SMS to Zapier
This guide will show you a way to utilise our SMS webhook with Zapier to extend the functionality and push messages to other apps via API.
- Browse to https://zapier.com/app/dashboard
- In the field Connect this app… enter Webhooks by Zapier
- In the field with this one! enter the application you want to connect to e.g. Slack
- In the field When this happens… select Catch Hook
- In the field then do this! select the action e.g. Send Channel Message
- Your screen should look similar to this
- Next click
- Click the Trigger to expand the settings
- Next click
- Then click to get the trigger URL
- Login to your account and manage your PBX service.
- Next select
- Scroll down your list of numbers until you find your virtual mobile number, if you do not have a virtual mobile number you will need to use the link at the top of the screen.
- Next click the button
- At the bottom of the screen you will see Web Hook URL enter the Web Hook URL you copied earlier
- Click
- Using a mobile find send a test message to your virtual mobile number and wait about 30 seconds
- Now click
- You should now have a series of results that look similar to this
- Next click
- At this point you connect it to your app, it is best to consult the Zapier help guides for specific instructions to authenticate
- In your app integration, you should see click this to expand
- In the slack integration you need to select the channel to post to
- Next you need to map the SMS fields to a message by clicking the message box
- Your screen would look similar to this depending on how you have configured your action
- Once happy with the settings click
- Next click
- You should now have received a message to your Slack channel, if so you can now click
