Preventing Unauthorised Access To Your Account
In order to help prevent unauthorised access to your account only authorised representatives will have the authority to make changes to your account.
When someone calls to request a change be made to an account, our team will confirm that the person they are speaking to is listed under the authorised contacts for the account.
To further verify the authorised representative, two-factor authentication will be used.
This means that we will send a code either by email or text message to the registered details for the authorised representative. Once the representative provides the code we will confirm it matches before proceeding with any changes.
How Can I Manage The Authorised Representatives On My Account?
You can manage who is authorised on your account by logging into the Dashboard and selecting the Authorised Contacts menu. Inside this section there are two sections, Portal Access and Authorised Contacts.
Portal Access: This will allow you to be able to invite users to your account to be able to manage the service. They will have full access to your account and be able to make changes.
Authorised Contacts: Listings here are only for people that can contact us via Phone, Email or Online Chat. There are two types allowed here which are:
Advocate: Can deal with us on your behalf (including making a complaint) but:
- cannot change your account or services; and
- cannot act on your behalf or access your information unless you are present and agree.
Authorised Representative: can deal with us on your behalf as your agent (including making a complaint) and:
- if you give them limited rights: has only those rights including any limitations you specify on access to your information; and
- otherwise: has power to act and access information as if they are you
Please note that a notification email will be sent to the registered email of the contact when you add, remove of update their details.
What If I Get A Verification Code When I’m Not Expecting One?
If you receive a verification code from URL Networks when you are not expecting one, please give our team a call as soon as possible and let them know you received an unexpected activation code. Our team will check to make sure your account has not been compromised and may reset the passwords for any user accounts.
