Mikrotik Install Guide
The following guide will describe how to upload and install a Mikrotik .RSC router config file.
Process
- Cable device to Mikrotik router
- Download Winbox from Mikrotik: https://mikrotik.com/download
- Log in to Mikrotik router using Winbox – Default credentials are username: admin/password: (blank)
- Click on Files on the left hand menu to open the File List window.
- Click the Upload button and navigate to the .RSC router config file stored on your device.
- Click on New Terminal on the left hand menu.
- Enter the following command to perform a software reset of the router:
/system reset-configuration no-defaults=yes
- Reconnect to the Mikrotik after it has finished resetting.
- Click on New Terminal on the left hand menu.
- Enter the following command to import the .RSC router config file:
/import file-name=(router config filename.RSC)
The Mikrotik config will be installed to the router and the router will then reboot.
